DAVID HODGSON hopes to make up for lost time when Darlington entertain Bradford City at the Williamson Motors Stadium tonight.
Hodgson's League Two preparations were thrown into disarray at the weekend when Craig Liddle's testimonial against Middlesbrough was abandoned at half-time following a bomb scare.
While the opening 45 minutes were enough for Shelton Martis to impress - the Dutch defender has been offered a one-year deal - Hodgson was denied the opportunity to look at other trialists.
Anthony Peacock, Nathan Jameson and Guylain Ndumbu-Nsungu were unused substitutes on Saturday and the trio will hope to play a part in tonight's game, which is free entry for all supporters.
Manchester City winger Carlos Logan is training with the club this week and could also feature against the Bantams.
"I wanted to take a look at these lads against Middlesbrough, but unfortunately what happened was beyond our control," said Hodgson.
"Our plans have been disrupted but we have to get on with it and they will get another chance when we play Bradford.
"Anthony is a player I like but I'm not sure how we can accommodate him within the system we play. I think Nathan has done well and deserves another chance."
Bradford's preparations for tonight's game have also been far from ideal as they were left without a fixture at the weekend as Middlesbrough had already committed to sending a side to the Williamson Motors Stadium for Liddle's testimonial.
An injury crisis meant the Teessiders were not able to send a second team to Valley Parade.
Dutch winger Bobby Petta, released by Quakers at the end of the season, will play some part against his former club this evening. Defender Damion Stewart, who came close to joining Quakers last season after a trial, is included in the Bantams squad after the Jamaican international was granted a work permit.
Darlington (from): Russell, Valentine, Clarke, Hutchinson, McGurk, Mason, Duke, Appleby, Maddison, Webster, Wainwright, Peacock, Carlos Logan, Thomas, Kendrick, Jameson, Dickman, Ferrell, Wijnhard, Johnson, Ndumbu-Nsungu, Sodje, Bossu.
* Long-serving groundsman Andrew Thompson, who has also been carrying out kitman duties for two seasons, has left the club.
