SCORES of famous-make sports cars will be on display at a North-East landmark next month.

The Porsche Club GB is holding its northern gathering at Raby Castle, near Staindrop, County Durham, on Sunday, August 14, from 11am to 4pm.

More than 150 Porsches, ranging from the classic 356 to modern day 911s, will feature at the largest gathering in the North of England this year.

Visitors can get a close-up view of the vehicles and memorabilia and associated products will also be on sale.

Porsche also makes the Harley Davidson V-rod engine and Harleys of Newcastle will be displaying several models of the bike.

Test drives will also be available.

Nick Stevenson, Porsche Club GB's North-East regional secretary, said: "Raby Castle is a wonderful location and perfect for hosting this superb gathering of Porsche's finest sports cars.

"It is a wonderful opportunity for Porsche owners, club members and enthusiasts to meet.Falconry displays will also be taking place.
