l Members held a minute's silence at the weekend in memory of president Harold Mundell of Chilton. Harold had been league president for only 18 months, covering just one outdoor season, but in that time won the Wilf Marsh Trophy when the league defeated Hartlepool and District, Darlington and District and Sunderland and District in the round robin competition.
