A RIDING school is hoping to copy the Japanese and establish new relations with the medical profession.
The Riding for the Disabled Unicorn Centre, in Middlesbrough, has invited education and medical representatives to visit its site later in the month.
Three members of the centre visited the third International Peto Conductive Conference in Japan last year, and were inspired by the way the Japanese had formed partnerships between medicine, education and voluntary agencies.
Unicorn Centre director Judy Preston said: "We feel that the partnerships demonstrated in Japan are the way forward for voluntary agencies, such as Riding for the Disabled.
"I hope that the open day will start the dialogue for similar partnerships in this area."
Guests at the event on Thursday, June 22, will be shown a riding demonstration and a video on the Japanese system of working.
