A SURVEY has been launched to discover more about the health of people in Teesside.
Tees Health Authority started the project yesterday, inviting people to provide some facts about their lives, jobs and environment, all of which are known to affect health.
A questionnaire will be sent to a large sample of men and women, aged between 16 and 75, who live in Stockton, Middlesbrough, Redcar and Cleveland and Hartlepool.
Each person will have the opportunity to record what they eat, drink and smoke, and the kinds of activities they do.
People will also have a chance to say what they think about the quality of life in their neighbourhood.
Dr Paul Johnstone, the authority's director of public health, said: "I would encourage everyone who receives a questionnaire to complete it and return it to me as soon as they can.
"This will help the local health service, as well as our partners in local government and the voluntary sector, to understand more about our health."
