FEARS are growing for a Middlesbrough woman who has vanished from a holiday resort in Turkey.
Ann Nicholson, 37, of Berwick Hills, Middlesbrough, was reported missing by the travel company to the British Consulate in Marmaris, Turkey, on Wednesday when she didn't catch her plane home. A spokesman for the Foreign Office said the British Embassy in Ankara had notified the Turkish police who had conducted door to door inquiries in Dalyan, the resort where Ms Nicholson was staying.
The spokesman said: "We are treating it very seriously as it is a concerning matter." British police were also trying to trace Ms Nicholson's next of kin.
