THE region is set for a series of events to mark the launch of National Food Safety week from today.
In North Yorkshire, several towns will be hosting the events from today onwards.
Today, there will be a roadshow, display and competitions in Thirsk Market Place, which will then move tomorrow to Bedale Market Place.
On Wednesday, Northallerton Market Place will host the roadshow while on Friday it will be in Stokesley Market Place. And on June 24 a roadshow highlighting food safety will be held at the North Yorkshire County Show.
Also on Wednesday, the Free Royal Society of Health is holding a certificated essential food hygiene course at Yorkshire Coast College in Scarborough.
Between today and Sunday there will be a display and competition at Tesco supermarket at Kingston Park, Newcastle and on Thursday there will be a roadshow with interactive kitchen display, competition and giveaways at the MetroCentre at Gateshead.
