SOME of the finest foods from the region will be on sale at a country market on Saturday.
The Stanhope farmers' market and craft market gives North-East farmers the chance to sell their produce directly to the public.
The previous market, in Bishop Auckland, proved a big success with local people.
At the weekend, visitors will be able to try out a variety of fresh farm produce including meats from Barnard Castle and Bishop Auckland, cheeses from Northumberland, local vegetables, baking and plants and a variety of Dales crafts.
The Weardale Society will have a stall in the market for small producers to sell their goods.
The nearby Durham Dales Centre, surrounded by Stanhope Castle Gardens, will provide family entertainment, and free car parking will be available at the Durham Dales Centre, the fire station drill yard and the Methodist church
