TICKETS for this year's Rhythm 'n' Brews Festival in Darlington have gone on sale at the Arts Centre.
In recent years the Friday and Saturday evening sessions have been sold out, but this year the Thursday session may also prove as popular because of an appearance by one of the region's favourite bands, the Eastside Torpedoes.
The Arts Centre event, with 40 beers to sample, is organise by the Darlington branch of the Campaign for Real Ale (Camra). It runs from September 14 to 16 and will be the focal point of a week-long Rhythm 'n' Brews 2000 festival in and around the town centre.
Entry to the beer festival is free on Friday and Saturday lunchtimes, and Camra members and other concessionaries will benefit from evening discounts.
Tickets are available from the Arts Centre, Vane Terrace, Darlington, on (01325) 486555. Prices are £3 (£2) for Thursday, £4 (£3) for Friday and £2 (£1) for Saturday
