POLICE hunting the killer of student Sara Cameron yesterday released pictures of people they want to interview.
The people were all seen near to where Sara walked home in Newcastle on the night she was attacked and suffocated.
Finnish-born Sara, who was 23, was murdered close to her flat in the village of Earsdon, near Whitley Bay some time during the night of Thursday, April 20 and the early hours of Good Friday.
Police are still trying to establish if there was a sexual motive for the attack.
Investigating officers want whoever is pictured, or anyone who knows who they are, to come forward so they can help build up a clearer picture of Sara's last night.
They include a man seen in the Deep nightclub at the Rex Hotel, Whitley Bay, just before 10.30pm. He was about 25, 5ft 9in, well built, with short blond hair, shaved at the sides.
They also want to speak to a man in his early twenties pictured on closed-circuit TV at Monument Metro Station just before 11.25pm.
Police also want to trace a man seen running across the tracks at Longbenton Metro Station just after 11.30pm and who boarded the same coast train as Sara that night; two 18-year-old men who were seen "play" fighting at Shiremoor Metro Station at 11.50pm; and a man standing at the junction of Lesbury Avenue and Park Lane Shiremoor at about 11.50pm.
