A UNION is demanding answers in the wake of a peeping tom scandal at a leisure centre.

Glyn Amos was one of three managers suspended from duty for alleged inaction over complaints that women using a sauna at Redcar Leisure Centre were spied on.

An independent panel of inquiry is recommending he is cleared of all blame.

But Tees Valley Leisure Limited, which runs the centre for Redcar and Cleveland Council, wants a management sub committee to 'further examine several issues before it reaches a decision.'

The same sub committee has accepted the panel's recommendations in relation to reinstating two other suspended employees.

Unison's district union official John McDade said: "We are considering our position. We want to know why Mr Amos has been treated differently to the other two. We can't understand it."
