BIKING enthusiasts are being urged to saddle up and help an event aimed at saving lives.
A mountain bike orienteering challenge is being held at Guisborough Forest next week to raise funds for the Anthony Nolan bone marrow trust.
The event is one of many going on in the area to celebrate the Millennium festival of cycling.
National bike to work day is on Tuesday, there is a Ride for health event in Hamsterley forest next weekend, and a family ride from Coulby Newham to Albert Park, Middlesbrough, tomorrow.
The trust wants riders to raise sponsorship to help children and young adults with leukaemia and other related diseases.
The orienteering event is on Wednesday, starting at 6pm at the Forest and Walkway Visitor Centre. Details from Paul and Linda Thornton on (01287) 635829.
