WHILE all of his school pals are getting excited about their trip to Paris, self-confessed paranoid Alex Browning is seeing omens of doom.
Alex has a premonition that the plane explodes, killing everyone on board. Panicking to get off Alex causes a fight that leads to him and six others being kicked off the 747. Minutes later it turns into a fireball leaving nothing but patches of burning fuel, just as Alex predicted.
But death, it would seem, does not like to see anybody side-stepping predetermined fate. In a series of horrible and excruciatingly complex methods, death begins to catch up with them, picking them off one by one, leaving the youngsters desperately trying to figure out a way to literally cheat death.
Final Destination (15) shows nightly at Redcar's Regent Cinema at 7.15pm. On Sunday Being John Malkovich (15) shows at 9.30pm.
A talented puppeteer struggling to make ends meet takes a job as an office clerk. Moving a filing cabinet in his office he discovers a porthole leading directly into the mind of actor John Malkovich, which allows 15 minutes inside the actor's head.
Finally, Disney's Tigger Movie (U) bounces across the screen this weekend at noon and 2pm.
