NORTH Ormesby has increased its number of community policemen from nine to 11 officers, with the arrival of PCs Dawn Turnbull and Steve Smith from Cleveland Police's district support unit.
They have joined the Community oriented problem solving (Cops) team.
Sergeant Graham Scott said: "I am very happy to have these two experienced officers join the Cops team in North Ormesby.
"Both Dawn and Steve have worked in the Middlesbrough district for the past ten years.
"I am sure they will be a reassuring sight on the streets of the town. They will be available to tackle community issues, as well as reducing the fear of crime."
