POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a town centre disturbance.
Four men and one woman, all aged in their 30s and 40s, appeared before Teesside magistrates, yesterday, on violent disorder and assault charges, following a fight outside Toxins nightclub, Linthorpe Road, Middlesbrough.
A Cleveland Police spokeswoman said police were called to "a large disturbance" at about 2.20am on Saturday.
She said: "A fight broke out between two females.
"That developed into a fracas, resulting in four men and one female being arrested."
Witnesses are asked to contact Middlesbrough Police on (01642) 301543 and speak to Detective Constable Mark Rowland, who is handling the case.
