A DOSSIER on low-flying aircraft over a village near Darlington is to be sent to the Government.
The document has been prepared by Middleton St George parish councillor John Sterling, following concern about low-flying in the village.
It is being sent to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) in the hope that steps will be taken to prevent aircraft flying low over Middleton St George and Middleton One Row.
Much of the problem is caused by aircraft from clubs at Teesside International Airport.
Coun Sterling, who also sits on the airport's consultative committee, said the problem has been getting worse, rather than better.
"We have been getting no joy from the bosses at the airport and we hope this dossier will result in the CAA enforcing the conditions in the airport's operating procedures."
Two flying club aircraft have been forced to land in fields near the village in recent months, and the council has fears over what might happen if planes had to land in populated urban areas.
The dossier will also be sent to Prime Minister Tony Blair and the Department for the Environment.
The CAA said it could not comment until it received details about the complaints.
