THE case against a West Midlands man charged in connection with a road accident in which a North-East motorcyclist died has been adjourned.
Richard Alan Petty, 30, of St John's Road, Dudley, was due to appear Guisborough magistrates yesterday charged with driving without due care and attention, driving while disqualified and without insurance, plus two charges of defective tyres, and two charges of perverting the course of justice.
Alan Malcolm, 49, of Campion Grove, Marton, Middlesbrough, died when his motorcycle was in a collision with a Ford Sierra on the A171 Guisborough to Whitby road, near the Jolly Sailor's pub, at Moorsholm on Sunday, May 14.
The case was adjourned until Friday to allow solicitors time to look at the case papers
