A SUMMER scheme for disabled youngsters being run in Darlington is seeking volunteers.
Anyone with time to spare during the summer holidays is being invited to contact Darlington Association on Disability and help with its Dash playscheme, which is running from Monday, July 24, to Friday, August 18.
Volunteers can work anything from one day to 20 days, and although no previous experience is necessary, Darlington Association on Disability says that volunteers need to be enthusiastic and energetic, and have a sense of fun.
They should also enjoy a challenge and working in a team, but the most important qualification is to enjoy the company of children.
Support and training is given to all volunteers and expenses are payable.
Volunteers should be aged 15 or over, and will be asked to support a disabled child to participate in outings and activities.
If you would like more information, contact Carol Lambird or Tracy Roberts on (01325) 489999, or visit the Shopmobility office, next to the Dolphin Centre in Darlington's Market Place, for an application pack.
