ORGANISERS of Great Aycliffe Show are praying the recent warm weather continues this weekend.
The event, which takes place on Saturday and Sunday, offers a host of free activities, including a rodeo bull ride, quad biking, a soft play area and craft demonstrations. There will also be free competitions, including football and bowls, which attract entries from all over the region.
The playhouse marquee has a full timetable, with performances by rock bands, dancing troupes, theatre groups and choirs. There will also be a full arena programme including Rodeo Dave and the Rodayos, dog agility, falconry displays and sheepdog demonstrations.
Admission to the event, which will be held on the playing field at the Oakleaf sports complex, in Newton Aycliffe, is free, and cars will be charged £1.
