YOUNGSTERS in Hartlepool are being given the chance to learn basketball skills and help set a world record at the same time.
Hartlepool Borough Council's sports development team is hosting a basketball coaching session, from 10.30am on Saturday, at Rossmere Youth Centre, Rossmere Way, Hartlepool.
It is part of Time Out, a national event organised by the Outdoor Basketball Initiative (OBI), to encourage people to play.
The OBI wants to set a world record on Saturday for the number of people playing basketball at the same time on the same day in the same event. It hopes more than 100,000 people will take part around the country.
The event costs £1, and is open to youngsters aged six to 16, details on (01429) 284052.
