A NORTH-EAST town is to be featured on a Royal Mail stamp for the first time in its history.
The Gateshead Millennium Bridge is the subject of the latest first class stamp to celebrate the millennium. Gateshead Borough Council has commissioned a souvenir first-day cover. Leader of the council George Gill said: "The council is obviously proud of this recognition."
