Willington Games Cup
I the first legs of the semi-finals both away teams established a lead but by vastly different margins. Hunwick Club visited Willington Market in a match which opened evenly as Paul Maddison and Ian Richardson took the first two pool points for the visitors while the first two dominoes points went to the Market through Alan McAloon and Tommy Barrass.
From that point Hunwick took over with pool wins from Mike O'Brien and Paul Patterson as well as the three doubles. They also added dominoes points through Terry Alderson, Paul Maddison and Paul Patterson with the only reply coming from John Blackett and Stuart Shillan with singles points at pool. Consequently Hunwick Club go into the second leg with a 10-4 advantage.
The other semi-final was much closer with the visiting Oakenshaw Club taking a two point lead into their home second-leg next week against Willington Black Horse. Craig Eales and Martin Eales scored pool singles points for the Horse, who added one pool doubles to add to the dominoes points from Mark Hunter, Donald Young and David Hawkins.
Oakenshaw's points came from Frank Lythe, Dale Wilson, Tony Leighton and Jason Walton in the pool singles as well as two of the pool doubles points, with Dale Wilson and Frank Lythe taking dominoes points.
Crook 4D's Mixed
Games League
The first games took place in the new league, which has introduced a completely different format. The matches are made up of darts and dominoes with two triples at darts, one with two men and one lady, the other with two ladies and one man, three pairs games, one for ladies, one for men and one mixed, with the darts completed by three ladies singles and three mens singles. The dominoes games carry two points each with singles for ladies and men and three pairs games, one for ladies, one for men and one mixed.
The match at Crook Mill House was very even with the Crook Royal Sun losing by one point. The visitors took the darts by a comfortable five points but the Mill went on to victory when they took the dominoes by six points.
Crook Coach and Horses had a double success when they visited Crook White Swan, where they recorded an overall 15-6 win, having scored seven at darts and eight at dominoes. The first maximum of the new league went to John Parkin of the White Swan.

At the top of the First Division Crook Hotel A are just one point ahead of Crook Coach and Horses A, who in turn lead Royal Sun A, the Travellers Rest and Crook Belle Vue by a single point.
Crook Royal Sun B held on to their top spot in the Second Division after they won their game at Croft Social Club B by one point. The home side had wins from Alan Binyon, Shirley Brown and Bob Spence, while Graeme Todd, Wayne Smith, Paul Emerson and John Howcroft took the Sun to victory.
The Second Division table changed when big wins for Crook Olde Horse Shoe B and Crook Surtees moved them up to share second place, three points behind leaders Royal Sun B.

Tow Law and District Dominoes League
Tow Law Cattle Mart B moved into second place in the table following their good away victory at Billy Row Royal George. The Mart B now trail leaders Sunniside Comedian by a point, while they're ahead of the A team and the new Market B by one point.
Alison Hopps gave the Cattle Mart B a good start at the Royal George but Sue Hocking immediately equalised. From then the visitors took over and went through with wins from Angela Yeoman, Sylvia Goodall and Heather Laing.

Tow Law Bass Darts League
The Doubles Championship was held at Esh Winning McKennas with John Dixon and Paul Knighton of Stanley Earl Derby taking the title.
In the semi-finals Alan Smith and Darren Yeoman of Tow Law New Market A beat John Ward and Tom Martin of Stanley Earl Derby 2-1, while Dixon and Knighton beat Steve Wilkie and Dave Brown of Esh Winning Football Club 2-0.
In the final Dixon and Knighton beat Smith and Yeoman 2-1. The trophies will be handed over at the Presentation Evening in Billy Row Club on June 26.

Memorial Darts
Ithe first qualifying stage Crook Travellers Rest qualified from the three teams playing.
In the first game the Crook Spitfire Club won a good match against Crook Jelly's Bar 3-1. Crook Travellers Rest met Spitfire Club in a decider for a place in the final with when Ann Varley just pipping Evelyn Vitty.
Leading individual scorers were Ann Varley with 133, Evelyn Vitty (124) and Yvonne Pybourne with (121).
Weardale Ladies Darts
Maureen Egglestone hit a 180 on her home board when Wolsingham Club staged the Ann Fairless Trophy.
