A JUNIOR football team have netted a trophy in a national football competition.
Spennymoor Juniors FC Under-15s have been crowned Norfolk Cup Champions after beating top junior teams from across the country.
The side lost only one game in the competition, which had attracted more than 80 teams.
Team manager Tom Francis said: "The boys have once again done very well this season, but winning the Norfolk Cup was a marvellous achievement in its own right. It was the best way of repaying the support and faith shown in the team by the parents and management.
"Players and supporters were involved in various fundraising activities to help meet the costs of the trip, and we would like to thank Spennymoor Town Council and Asda for helping us."
