A STUDENT was hurt in an unprovoked assault by a gang of men.
Nabi Price, 20, was walking home from a night out with friends when he had his nose and jaw broken.
Mr Price, of Davison Drive, Hartlepool, was in Winterbottom Avenue with two college friends, when several men jumped out of a car after shouting abuse.
He was knocked over, kicked and butted, and hit in the face.
Inspector Mick Walker, of Hartlepool police, said: "Someone must know who did this."
The attack happened at about 2am on Wednesday last week.
One of the assailants was in his mid to late twenties, of medium build with short mousey hair and an untidy moustache.
Witnesses should ring PC Norman Ross on (01642) 302126.
