Inter Silver and Silver Competition
Skaters from the region were successful at the Roller Skating Inter Silver and Silver Competition in Alfreton, Derbyshire.
Skaters from all over Great Britain took part in the competition in which Karen Davison and Emma and Lorna Gaffney came home with six medals and the Devonshire Trophy between them.
Karen of Marton, skates for Beechwood Roller Skating Club and won the Compulsory Figures and won a gold medal in the silver competition.
Two weeks ago she represented Great Britain in the German Cup and finished a commendable seventh.
Emma of Redcar, who skates for Durham District Roller Skating Club, was fourth in the Compulsory Figures, third in Free but won the Devonshire Trophy in the Combine silver competition.
Emma's younger sister Lorna was placed fourth in Compulsory Figures, second in Free and second in Combine in the Intersilver competition.
Karen and Emma are now looking forward to competing in the Senior Ladies British Championships during July in Colchester.
