THE village of Witton-le-Wear played host to the latest in The Northern Echo's series of millennium photographs.
More than 80 residents were pictured outside the village church, St Philip and St James. Witton-le-Wear sits proud above the meandering River Wear and is described by residents as "a beautiful place to live in".
