A distressed moggie was caught by firefighters yesterday after spending three days marooned on a roof. Marmalade the ginger puss was reluctant to be rescued from his chimney stack perch above Wolviston Village High Street, near Billingham. After defying extensive rescue efforts, firefighters resorted to a noose and hydraulic ladder to bring him back to earth.
