A NORTH-EAST man appeared in court yesterday accused of being a drugs dealer.
Nasir Bad Shah, 24, faces charges of possessing heroin and cannabis with intent to supply others, and possession crack cocaine.
He was arrested under Operation Poppy, in which officers from Cleveland Police raided seven homes, recovering drugs valued at about £24,000 and £12,000 in cash.
Mr Shah, of Haddon Street, Middlesbrough, was also charged with possessing a large knife and a CS spray as an offensive weapon in Billingham on Thursday. He was remanded in custody for one week by magistrates in Middlesbrough.
A 17-year-old Billingham girl, who can't be named due to her age, was bailed on similar charges.
