EXHIBITS are lining up for a special weekend event held by a village church.
A total of 36 scarecrows have been dressed ready for display in Croft, near Darlington, next weekend.
St Peter's Church is opening the event on Saturday, July 1, starting with a garden fete at Monkend Hall, at 2pm.
The church will be open Saturday and Sunday from 1.30pm to 4.30pm where visitors will be entertained with organ music.
An exhibition will be held throughout the village on both days, from 1pm to 5pm, and teas will be available in the village hall on Sunday afternoon.
Finally, there will be a service in the church on Sunday at 6pm with the Sundial Singers Choir. All are invited, particularly those with links to the church, such as having used the venue for weddings or christenings
