THE Village People made an unusual guest appearance on Teesside yesterday to promote a charity aerobics session.
Staff at the Southlands Leisure Centre in Middlesbrough dressed up as the 70s hit band to encourage people to take part in the Step out for Starlight tomorrow.
The leisure centre fitness team will be hosting an outdoor workout from 10.30am to noon to raise money for Starlight, the charity which raises money to grant wishes for seriously ill children.
Anyone over 16 can join in the fun which will include Kai Bo, aerobics and muscle-toning routines.
Entry to the event is £3.50 or anyone who raises £5 in sponsorship can take part for free.
