ARTISTIC glass and ceramic work is going on show in an exhibition.
The work of eight students from the University of Sunderland's architectural glass and ceramics degree course has been chosen for the latest Designed for the Dales touring exhibition.
The exhibition, called Breaking Away, will feature work ranging from the traditional to the abstract, including one young artist's creation of glass bobble hats on coat pegs.
Project co-ordinator Denise Alexander said: "I think everyone who visits the exhibition will be quite stunned by the quality of the glass and ceramics, and by the variety of the pieces on show.
"Demonstrations will also be taking place, so if anyone fancies working with stained glass or clay they can just call in and have a go."
Breaking Away can be seen at Witham Hall, Barnard Castle, on Friday and Saturday, Hamsterley Village Hall on July 6 and 7, and at Stanhope Town Hall on July 14 and 15
