Darlington past and present is set to be recreated by the town's flower club.
The South Durham and North Yorkshire Flower Arrangement Club, which is the largest of its kind in the area, is holding the event at St.Cuthbert's Church Centre, on Wednesday.
The event, opened by author and broadcaster Allene Norris, will include exhibits featuring the Market Cross, railways, Quakers, banking and woollen mills.
The present will be represented in a display of Darlington in Bloom and of sport.
The exhibits used at both the Harrogate Spring Flower Show and the Chelsea Flower Show, a depiction of the crusades and a clock, are to be reconstructed by members of Darlington Flower Club.
The entrance fee to the event is £1, payable at the door. The event is open from 10am to 8pm.
