CAMPAIGNERS will hit the streets of Middlesbrough tomorrow to highlight their call for legislation to stop international gun sales.
Teesside Oxfam and Amnesty International supporters will stand in fancy dress on Davison Street from noon.
They want to highlight that a licence is needed to marry, to hold a boxing match, to fish and even to hold a raffle, but not to sell arms.
They claim UK arms dealers can bypass all export regulations by arranging the sale of the weapons without them ever touching British soil.
To highlight their concerns, the campaigners will dress as a bride, a fisherman, a boxer, a doctor and an arms dealer and will hand out information to passers-by.
