A DEPARTMENT at Darlington College has presented certificates to students for their positive attitude to their course.
The awards were made last night, to students from the health and social care department.
Certificates were given for achievements such as 100 per cent attendance, best placement reports and to students who have made the most progress.
Programme leader Jean Robinson said: "I emphasise that personal achievements can be as important as academic achievements and it provides opportunities for the students to have a different and hopefully more positive view of education and also see our college as an enjoyable experience."
This year, the students raised more than £356 for the NSPCC and more than £240 for the Alzheimer's Society.
