LOFTUS children have the chance to vote on how to spend a £10,000 Lottery win on a new after school club.
The 170 youngsters at St Joseph's RC Primary gave club leaders Debbie Tose and Kaye Brown a list of priorities following a successful bid to the lottery's New Opportunities Fund.
Headteacher Mike Atkinson compiled the bid with help from Redcar and Cleveland Council's Childcare Development Officer, Lesley Sanderson, and Lifelong Learning Adviser, Allan Cassidy.
He said: "The children have already had a real input. They've chosen a range of games - boardgames, card games and old-fashioned playground games.
"We're ordering musical instruments, mainly percussion, and we're hoping the club can help us to start a school band. And there's also finance available for sports equipment."
The new club, christened Playstation, will open in September, operating from 3.15pm until 6pm on weekdays, with spaces for 20 children.
The bid will also finance the refurbishment of the club's base, an existing mobile classroom.
