SOME of the best entries in a television station's photography project are to go on show in the North-East.
The top submissions for the History Channel's Photos for the Future 2 project will tour English Heritage properties, including Belsay Hall, near Newcastle.
The competition, now in its second year, aims to create a lasting visual record of the lives of ordinary people.
To enter, people must submit a photograph, either from the family album or by taking their own, that captures a moment in history, accompanied by a description of its interest to future generations.
Categories are childhood, fashions, inventions, town and country life, war and peace, and the year 2000. The closing date for entries is July 21.
They will also be displayed in a special gallery on The History Channel website at www.thehistorychannel.co.uk
