IMPRESSIVE £1.5m facilities will be officially opened at a north County Durham school next week.
Greencroft Comprehensive School in Annfield Plain has undergone a transformation in the past 18 months, with six new classrooms and a sports centre.
On Tuesday, the chairman of Sunderland FC, Bob Murray, will officially open the buildings, which have been in use since last September. The refurbishment would have been finished earlier, but an asbestos scare in one of the old buildings led to a delay.
