PUPILS at a Teesside Infant school have been praised for their standards of achievement.
A recent Office for Standards in Education inspection at Roseberry Infant School, Billingham, revealed that the school is doing extremely well and provides pupils with "an excellent start to their education".
Inspectors noted in particular, the pupils' standard of achievement is well above the national average in reading and writing. Their progress in information technology was also commended, as was the school's provision for pupils with special educational needs.
Marie Graham, headteacher said: "We are absolutely delighted at the results of our inspection.
"Our dedicated team of staff are committed to ensuring the very best education for the children in our school. The report has recognised the efforts made by staff and also by parents, governors and pupils who have worked together to achieve high standards."
