CHERIE Blair, wife of Prime Minister Tony Blair, made it a special day for youngsters on a school trip to Durham County's cricket ground.
Year ten youngsters from Greenfield School, in Newton Aycliffe, who are part of the Action 2001/x1 Network Club, visited the Riverside Ground in Chester-le-Street.
As well as enjoying talks from pupils from other schools, Greenfield's Trevor Seal spoke of his own progress in the club, while Kelly Ann Bridgewater introduced a drama on bullying, which was performed by students for other guests.
The Prime Minister's wife completed the day by presenting certificates to the schools, as well as to the pupil who had achieved the most throughout the year - Kelly Ann Bridgewater
