THIRTY pupils from Ox Close Primary School, in Spennymoor, will be experimenting in science at Spennymoor Comprehensive School on Monday.
The year five group will also visit the art department, where they will try their hands at printing and pottery.
Science staff will show the children experiments based on chemical changes. They will see a hydrogen balloon explode and watch crystals growing through a microscope and video camera.
At the end of their stay, the children will be given a notebook and pencil to record their experiences.
A spokesman for Spennymoor Comprehensive School said: "The visitors will be able to benefit from the highly technical equipment in Spennymoor School, seeing and experiencing things that are not possible in a primary school."
