A partnership between two schools in the region has resulted in a novel drama production.
Yarm Preparatory School and Osmotherley County Primary School, have been involved in an independent school/state school partnership for the past two years, and the drama work is the culmination of their partnership.
Yesterday, the schools staged an open air performance of The Drove Road, in the grounds of Mount Grace Priory, near Osmotherley.
In the play the pupils are attempting to tell the story of the history of Hambleton Drove Road, from its origins well over a thousand years ago, up to the present day.
This theme was chosen as the road passes both Yarm and Osmotherley, and serves as a link between the two schools.
All of the pupils from Osmotherley County Primary School took part as did the top year from Yarm Preparatory School, making a cast of 150 children.
