ON A green pitch Blackhall had few options but to put Marske into bat.
Ben Usher and Mark Newlove bowled exceptionally well and were backed up by some excellent fielding. At 12 for four wickets Marske faced an uphill struggle.
Tim Hood scored a valuable 31 and found fine support from 17-year-old James Riley.
Blackhall's professional Mark Foster kept up the pressure on the visitors taking four wickets for 24 runs as Marske were bowled out for 72.
Tim Hood gave Marske two early wickets. Jonathon Darby punished any poor ball to score a fine 45 before falling to a good catch by Philip Goldsbrough. Ben Usher steered Blackhall home to win.
