Boddington's Durham Coast League U-18
Runs flowed when South Hetton met Hylton and no-one performed better than Ben Clark - but finished on the losing side. He hit two sixes, one five and seven boundaries in a top-scoring 75 when Hylton replied with 108 to South Hetton's 129 for two.
Craig Fawcett claimed three wickets for 29 runs in four overs and Chris Naylor had two for 17, also from four overs when South Hetton took to the field.
When they batted first the home team were grateful to Graham Race (68) and to Shaun Bradbury whose 45 included five boundaries.
Castle Eden also reached three figures as they inflicted a heavy defeat on Silksworth. Danny Bell with one six and three boundaries in 40 not out, John Spellman (34) and Matthew Tudball (21no) led Castle Eden to 118 for two from just 20 overs. In response, Silksworth were all out for 44 as Matthew Tudball, Dean Langridge, Daniel Bell and Craig Walker all claimed two wickets.
Bill Quay overtook Murton's 64 all out with nine wickets in hand, thanks to an unbeaten 27 by John Chamberlain and 28 not out by Paul Bentham who then returned four for 12 from 2.5 overs, Gary Taylor had three for 29 from four overs and Chamberlain took two for seven, also in a four overs spell.
Shoaib Akhtar struck no fewer than nine boundaries in an undefeated 51 as Dawdon overtook Ryhope's 69 for six, losing three wickets.
Seaham Park, meanwhile, lost by six wickets at home to Peterlee. When they batted first, Seaham Park ended on 87 for six with Shaun Donnelly top scoring with 28 while for Peterlee Williams took two wickets for ten runs. Neil Casey then secured a six-wickets win for Peterlee when he contributed 36 despite Philip Shepherd taking three for 23.
Three Counties
Northumberland League
Gosforth crashed to 22 all out when they hosted Hebburn in the Midweek Division. Cummins took four wickets for seven and Crawford had three for ten before Hebburn went on to win despite losing four wickets.
In contrast, the runs flowed when Warkworth entertained Northern Electric Blue Flames. Davidson struck an unbeaten 67 and Sewell had 45 in Warkworth's 158 for six. Three wickets were claimed by Myers for 43 runs before Northern Electric were restricted to 82 for four.
Ravi, with three wickets for four runs, pegged Bates Cottages to 79 and Newcastle City went on to win by seven wickets when Sharma carried his bat for 32.
Curtis (45) led DSS to 103 for nine despite David Horns taking three wickets for 16 runs. Astrofade Wallsend went on to win by eight wickets when Craddock contributed 53 and Hull an unbeaten 38.
Heaton were also successful, overtaking Ponteland's 86 with eight wickets in tact. Most of the runs came from Nicholson with an unbeaten 50 and Wright who carried his bat for 39.
Ponteland were in trouble against David Shepherd whose three wickets cost one run and Ruddick (3-21).
