SLIMMERS in East Cleveland are on a mission to find local restaurants where they can eat healthy but tasty food.
The New Marske Slimming World Group believes slimmers are discriminated against because of a lack of healthy options available, lack of information on menus and waiters not being briefed fully on what goes into dishes.
Members say having a full family and social life - which includes eating out - is part of their determination to lose weight.
With consultant Paula Baillie, the group has been searching the area for menus which give them the information to make a healthy choice but with a variety of dishes.
Tracy Mitchell, who runs The Granary Coffee House in Redcar, says she is being asked more and more for healthy options and has added ideas for a healthy, nutritious diet from the New Marske group to her menu in a bid to provide her customers with the service they require.
The group's search continues.
