A FORMER Gurkha soldier who has served all other the world is heading for the front line with a Teesside security firm.
Suryaman Rai has signed up with Countywide Security Limited, in Thorntree, Middlesbrough, after 19 years with the Gurkhas.
Suryaman, who has worked in Brunei, Hong Kong, Fiji, Belize and Malaysia, will attend a course at the Thorntree firm to learn how to become a security officer.
The course was booked by the Army Resettlement Office and Countywide, the training arm of the East Middlesbrough Community Venture (EMCV).
Countryside is successful in getting 87 per cent of its trainees into employment.
