SPECIALLY-designed mileposts for cyclists are to be installed in north-west Durham.
The cast iron posts will help cyclists on the new £400m cycle network which goes through the Consett-Stanley area.
Six mileposts are designed by Andrew Rowe and Jon Mills.
They are being given to Derwentside District Council by the Royal Bank and are being made available through Sustrans, the charity developing the network.
The new North-East off-road route was officially opened last week.
