POLICE are appealing for witnesses after an incident in which an intruder assaulted a woman who found him lurking outside her home.
The incident happened between 11pm and 11.30pm last Thursday on Londonderry Road, Stockton, near its junction with Clay Lane.
The woman disturbed a man who had entered her property by the back alley, where she was putting bags of rubbish out.
The man attacked the woman, cauing her slight injuries.
He is described as about 18-years-old, with cropped dark hair, just over 6ft tall, of thin build, with a moustache.
He was wearing dark tracksuit bottoms with a light stripe, and a black bomber jacket.
