RESIDENTS living in Teesside are being given the chance to have a go at a series of woodcrafts.
The Tees Forest, in partnership with local authorities, are holding a series of one-day summer courses providing expert tuition at countryside sites at Hartlepool, Urlay Nook, Guisborough and Coulby Newham.
The courses began on Saturday with a greenwood turning course at Summerhill, Hartlepool. Other courses run throughout the month at Urlay Nook on greenwood turning and willow basketmaking, and there is a course in August at Coulby Newham on hazel hurdle fencing.
The series finishes with two courses in September at Summerhill and Guisborough on willow garden structures.
Places are available on all courses, but booking is essential.
