LATE night revellers are being urged to come forward to help police find an attacker who felled his victim with one punch.
The assailant, said to be aged between 25 and 30, and over 6ft tall, struck in a back lane in Crook, at 1am on Saturday.
His victim, who was walking home alone, needed hospital treatment for grazes and bruises after being knocked to the ground at the rear of Commercial Street, Crook, behind The Crown pub.
Police issued a description of the attacker yesterday and asked for help from anyone who was in the area at the time.
He is of muscular build, with short fair hair and wore a long-sleeved blue checked shirt, with dark trousers. He wore a distinctive sovereign ring on his right hand.
