CHILDREN taking part in a national music festival have been wished good luck by their MP.
Four schools from Stockton will be taking part in the National Festival of Music for Youth at the Royal Festival Hall and the Queen Elizabeth Hall in London this week.
Yarm Preparatory School String Quartet performed yesterday. Bader Primary School Choir, from Thornaby, and Egglescliffe School Senior Choir perform today, while the Egglescliffe School Orchestra takes to the stage tomorrow.
On Thursday, Egglescliffe School Brass Band, About Time, also from Egglescliffe School, Egglescliffe School Piano Quartet, and Our Lady and St Bede School Percussion Group, will all be performing.
Dari Taylor, MP for Stockton South, said: "It is wonderful to see the immense musical talent in Stockton's schools performing on an international stage.
"All of the schools have very high standards and I am sure will delight everyone."
